Monty Oum's Haloid - The Most Impressive / Important Fan Video Ever?

We were wowed when we first watched this piece of videogaming brilliance:
However we didn't really like the ending, and so we don't spoil it for you chaps who haven't watched it yet we don't discuss why. It just wasn't very good. (The dancing bit after the credits is good! We don't mean that bit!)
But what of it? Well we're prepared to forget how it ends really because the bit in the middle is so dam good! (Not forgetting that we're not capable of doing anything past animating a poorly drawn dog / horse in Microsoft Powerpoint while we're bored at work, even that's difficult.)
We hope this has a bit of impact somewhere, that'd be good wouldn't it? We don't mean loads of geeks putting together poor imitations, with things like Super Halo Brothers, or Tomb Roids.

Think about MS's dreams of creating the YouTube of gaming came with XNA - what talent out there could produce something exciting like this for us to download and play on our 360's?
Think of gaming implications - new genre ideas and companies like Microsoft and Nintendo doing one-off titles for Xbox and Wii that involve these characters. MS get an HD brawler, and Nintendo could have an immersive bullet time game, stopping and adjusting the camera view with the Wii-mote.
But at the end of the day, it's just a fan video.
