Where Is Our XBox 360 Camera?

Originally thought to be ready for launch with the console, I happened to notice in the sexy preview catalogue that the camera's been shoved back to next year. This is a little bit of a shame but its not really important, considering that we've heard nothing amazing about it that no other camera peripheral can do or is capable of.

There may be some Eye-Toy style games coming, one of which is already built into the Jeff Minter visualisation tool whereby your movement can control or interfere with the visualisations you see on screen. There's also the possibility of Namco-cam style faces appearing over your character in game - if they can advance that to live video and even the forbidden face mapping features we've been wanting since Perfect Dark, we could have a useful toy to look forward to.

Otherwise its just an alternative to looking at naked fat people on Internet chat rooms.
