Was That "Smash My XBox" Clip Actually Funny?

Lets be clear - we don't really care what American's do with their spare time or money when they aren't shooting down their own choppers in Iraq or running into schools with handguns. We are happy to take anything from them that they invent - such as the 360, maybe not their sturdy vehicles that don't like driving round corners...

We've watched the SmashMyXBox.com clip several times now in an attempt to try and raise a smile, even maybe at the guy who begs them to give him a controller from the set they smashed up.

Fail. Nothing, it just doesn't seem funny.

Why is this? Well to be frank we don't know, it's probably because we don't hate the console. It's likely those that do will be in hysterics watching it, but its old hat really - we've had god knows how many series of Jackass and Dirty Sanchez now to the point where nothing shocks us anymore.

I mean God bless the chaps who decided to donate them money, the irony is that the two that smash it up are the geekiest looking of people I've ever seen, the ones you'd expect to be lining up really wanting it. The one who buys it actually looks like a mini Bill Gates as it is. Could be his son trying to get noticed by Daddy?

Conspiracy theorists... on your marks... get set... GO.

If it was us we'd have taken the money, bought the XBox and run. Failing that we'd have smashed up a fake one - a shell or a mock up! The really sad thing is they're going to do it to a Revolution, by then it's really going to be old hat. Maybe we should start taking donations to smash the smashers...

What do you think people of the world? Are we once again alone in our opinion? Is it actually that funny or is it extremely sad that they sat out there for 55 hours just for another large anti climax in their lives?

He wimped out.

He should have destroyed the controller too.

Then it would have been funny.

It is pretty sad. Although, he's obviously doing it for a reason. To maybe become Canada's next 'Jackass'?

Yeah i did wonder if he was doing it to get noticed for something like that.

It just seems a little too late now, its not that much of a shock anymore!
